I made a coffee face scrub the other day using coconut oil and it was lush! So with Easter being this weekend I decided to make a chocolate face mask because if you can’t smother your face in chocolate at Easter, well when can you?
I used a total of 2 ingredients in my homemade batch and I only made enough for one use. If you’d prefer to have a face scrub just add some brown sugar in to the mix.
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder (depending on the consistency you prefer)
When I make another batch I’ll be adding more cocoa powder to the mix as mine was a little too runny.
So why chocolate you ask? Besides the fact that it is Easter and everyone is surrounded by chocolate, cocoa powder actually has loads of beauty benefits:
- Adds a glow to your face
- Moisturises your skin
- Is rich in antioxidants
- Helps fight ageing
- Promotes collagen production for tighter skin
- Prevents blemishes
Most importantly by putting it on your face you won’t be gaining any calories, it smells gorgeous especially when mixed with coconut oil and my face felt as smooth as a babies ass after.
If you try it out, I’d love to know your thoughts.
It seems amazing! This means you can treat yourself using chocolate two ways. Eating and a Facemask! Ha Ha! Great post. Thanks for pointing me out to your blog!
