Does the Evolve Moisture Mist make the cut?

Face Mist or Miss?

Let’s start with the key ingredients listed; Moringa Peptides, Prickly Pear and the all important Hyaluronic Acid.

Hyaluronic Acid has become a staple ingredient in many a product on a beauty junkies top shelf – or #shelfie. Known for its ability to hold 1,000 times its weight in water, it’s a great ingredient if you are looking to add more moisture to your skin.

Prickly Pear has been gaining momentum as an ingredient in the skin care world more recently . The vitamin E found in Prickly Pear Oil is the highest of any plant oil on the market (3 times higher than Argan oil) so I can see why as an ingredient it has been incorporated in to topical skincare.

Let’s move on to the Moringa Peptides. The powerful antioxidants which are found in Moringa should be music to any Londoners ears (especially those that commute on the tube). Why is that I hear you ask. Well antioxidants protect skin by limiting the production of free radicals, which can damage skin cells. Why wouldn’t you want this ingredient in your skincare?

Key ingredient aside, facial mists and sprays can be used in many different ways; you can use them to refresh your skin throughout the day or you could use them in place of toner and some people use them as a setting sprays on top of makeup (I don’t use it for this at all).

Nice or Necessity?

Overall I have loved using the Evolve Daily Defence Moisture Mist. In answer to my question around it being ‘Nice or a Necessity’. If you had asked me on an average day, I would have said it’s a ‘nice to have’. Considering the gates of hell have opened today and it’s looking like it’s going to be the hottest day on record in the UK EVER, this is definitely a necessity. I’ve popped mine in the fridge overnight and can confirm that spraying this chilled mist on my face today has been absolutely lush.

How many times a day can you use a face mist? You know, just asking for a friend.
